Harris Hematoxylin

Harris Hematoxylin produces a deep, dark blue-purple stain. It is generally used in regressive methods, but may also be used progressively both in histology and cytology preparations. In view of its improved selectivity of nuclear staining, it is generally used in exfoliative cytology for the demonstration of malignant and non malignant cells. This formulation does not contain mercuric oxide, and stains in 2-5 minutes.
