Bouin's & B-5 Substitute Fixatives

Bouin's is intended as a special fixative for tissues to be examined by light microscopy, and is useful for necropsy and surgical tissue specimens. Bouin's is especially helpful for gastrointestinal tract biopsies. Trichrome stains are enhanced by Bouin's and tissue sections show improved staining following mordant treatment with Bouin's.
